After using the service my account has two transactions showing?

This only applies to Debit/Laser cards. If the pre-authorised amount and the final transaction amount differ your bank may treat this as two transactions and may hold a lien (reserve) of the pre-authorised amount until the transaction clears. It can take 5–10 working days (depending on bank) for the lien to be removed but please be assured you will only pay the final transaction amount. Where the pre-authorised and the final transaction amount match there is no issue.

What happens if I select a larger amount than my car can fit?

You will only be charged for the lower amount e.g. if you pre select €100 and your car only takes €83 then your account will only be debited for the €83.

I got no receipt even though I selected one?

Very occasionally the paper can jam in the printer. Please email date, approximate time, value amount and last four digits of your card to info@greatgas.com or call (022) 23989 and we will email one to you immediately.

I lifted the pump and no fuel came out?

You must put in your card first to get it pre authorised and release the pump.

My card pre-authorised and the pump released but I realised I parked too far away from the pump to re-fuel so I replaced the nozzle and moved my car, when I tried to use the pump nothing happened?

Once you replace the nozzle you cancel the transaction and you must repeat the pre-authorisation process again.
