The Gorta-Self Help Africa Charity dinner will take place on Friday 14th of November in the Hotel Meyrick, Eyre Square, Galway.
We hope that you will put this date into your diary and will consider organising a table or some tickets for a night out, let’s even say an early Christmas party night out with friends, family or work colleagues coming close to the Christmas Season to support Gorta Self Help Africa programmes in twelve countries in Africa.
The evening will begin with a champagne reception at 7:30pm followed by a four course dinner with tickets at €70 or a table of ten at €650. This smart casual event will feature Pa Sheils and Morecowbell playing classic hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s—promising to satisfy every musical taste and provide an evening of great music and dance. All funds raised on the evening will be targeted towards Self Help Africa’s development programmes in twelve countries in Africa. Gorta Self Help Africa is currently working to provide much needed nutrition and food programmes, agriculture programmes, education, entreprenurial skills and water and sanitation facilities to many rural communities throughout Africa. We are proud of the fact that over the last thirty years of Self Help Africa and fifty years of Gorta we have managed to do this while keeping our administration costs exceptionally low. This is why we are urging you to support Gorta Self Help Africa on Friday 14th of November.
