Science Week is running from the 8–15th November this year and the pupils in Bawnmore National School, Claregalway, are thrilled to be taking part. Colmac Robotics, who operate out of Castlebar, Co Mayo, came to give workshops on Tuesday 10th of November and our 4th, 5th and 6th classes took part in a two hour workshop held in the school.

The hands-on, interactive robotics workshop was thoroughly enjoyed by the pupils who then constructed robots themselves, with the aim of programming them successfully to travel up a slope and over the top!

In the process, they applied science, technology, engineering and maths skills, demystifying the process of coding and developing their confidence and interest in this area. The pupils had a fantastic day.
