The Claregalway Branch of the Apostolic Society would like to thank everyone who supported them during the year, and to wish each and everyone a very happy and Holy Christmas and a New Year full of peace and many blessings. This year we gave £1,272 to the headquarters in Salthill. We gave 17 crochet blankets, 5 adult jumpers, 3 adult cardigans, 13 baby knitted vests, 9 baby knitted cardigans, 8 children’s cotton vests, 30 children’s dresses 30 pairs of socks, 36 rosary beads, 16 corporals, 75 finger towels, 11 sets of vestments, and 4 celebration stoles.

We hold our meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the sacristy. We would be very happy to get many more new members. If you cannot attend meetings you may help us by knitting or sewing. Wool and material are supplied. We collect used stamps. The money got from a dealer will be used to help spread the Gospel of Christ in Africa, so please start collecting used stamps for us.

Many thanks to our Honorary Members who pay £2 a year and pray for the Missions.

We are extremely grateful to all that contributed to our Church gate collection that was held on the first weekend in July, also to those who helped us with our cake sale in October.

If anyone has odd balls of wool, we would be very glad to get same as it helps in making cot quilts and smaller items of knitting and crocheting.

Now that a New Year and a New Millennium is dawning, why not make a resolution to help Missionaries who are doing Christ’s work in far off lands.
