It is all systems go for Claregalway Drama Festival Committee as they get ready for the staging of the All-Ireland Confined Drama finals which will be staged in Claregalway Leisure Centre from Friday, April 21st to Saturday, April 29th. It is the first time in many years that Claregalway Drama Festival Committee have staged the All-Ireland finals where the cream of the crop come to surface. This is a marvellous opportunity for Galway people to watch the performances of the top Drama Acts in the country with groups from Northern Ireland also expected to qualify for the all- Ireland finals.

The Adjudicator for the All-Ireland Drama finals will be Tom Doherty who is a native of Derry and has a life time involvement in Drama. It will be the first time that Tom Doherty will be in Claregalway Drama Festival. The official launch and the draws of performances of the All-Ireland Drama finals in Claregalway will take place at Terry Brennan’s Central Tavern Lougheorge on Saturday, April 9th at 3.00 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. There is no doubt that Claregalway will be a hive of activity before and during the All-Ireland Confined Drama finals which commence on Friday, April 21st and will conclude on Saturday, April 29th, 2006 in Claregalway Leisure Centre.
