One of Galway’s leading businesses, Glynn’s Fruit & Veg of Lydican, Claregalway, is to feature on popular RTÉ programme Nationwide on Friday evening, October 22nd next.
RTÉ reporter Orla Nix and a crew descended on Glynn’s—which is this year celebrating 75 years in business—in early September and spent the day interviewing owners, George and Mary Glynn, along with George’s mother Sally.
Sally ran the business with her husband Willie for many years, building on the foundation laid by George and Margaret Glynn, who originally founded the business in 1935.
The Nationwide segment will look at the origins of the business, its rich history, and the company’s move into food processing in recent years.
It will also offer viewers a glimpse into the daily routine of Glynn’s Fruit & Veg, which is to the forefront of the industry in the West of Ireland.
