You are invited to attend the launch of the Job Creation Initiative Oranmore programme for 2013. Come along on the night to meet local employers and to find out more about two exciting initiatives aimed at helping jobseekers get back to work.

Job Creation Initiative Oranmore (JCIO)is a local voluntary initiative. Jobseekers who attend the Programme Launch will have an opportunity to register for a series of free workshops to be held in March, covering a range of essential skills such as confidence building, motivation and goal setting, CV and Interview Preparation, IT and Pitching to Employers. This programme is open to all Jobseekers and will culminate in a Networking Afternoon with employers and recruitment agencies on April 19th, hosted by Senator Feargal Quinn. 

At the Open Night a variety of local employers will outline what they need in terms of desirable skills, attitudes and experience with the aim to give jobseekers a real sense of what employers are looking for.

JCIO has also partnered with the recently launched national Momentum Skills programme which offers those unemployed 12 mths or longer a range of training & work placement opportunities in Galway City & County in areas such as Business Process Improvement (aimed at experienced professionals and graduates with an interest in enterprise), Warehousing & Logistics, Graduate Activation (aimed at under 25s with 3rd level), Healthcare Support, Employment Skills (aimed at under 25s), Medical Secretary and Enhanced Homecare Training. Representatives will attend on the night to explain the courses.
