Claregalway National School Parents Association recently held a Bingo night in the Claregalway Hotel. It was a great success and €500 was was raised on the night. Read the Parent’s Association report from Clement Shevlin below.

Hi Everyone, well we had a fantastic Bingo night with over 120 kids and parents turning up on such a bad night.  Thanks for coming and we really appreciate your support for the event. We went through ten full books to the exciting shouts of Check and Bingo! Of course there were a few false alarms as well. We gave out over 40 Easter eggs as prizes, kindly sponsored by Hughes Supervalu and we also gave out money prizes for  full houses. There was great excitement with the kids as they were always so close to filling a full house or a line, when someone would kill it by shouting Check! What I noticed most was how quickly parents got sucked in to the buzz of waiting on that next number and how they looked equally as disappointed as the kids when someone else shouted Check! But a great night was had by all and something we will be definitely be doing again next year. So hold on to your lucky markers.

To those that won, congrats, to those that didnt we hope ye had a great night.

I’d like to thank all the parents that helped stage this event from Dermot as our stewart confirming the wins, to Maria, Marion, Michelle, Helen and a special thanks (though she will kill me for saying) Nicola Lenihan, who orgainised the bingo machine and the tickets and a lot more—thanks Nicola. I’d also like to thank Carmel, our Principal for coming along and for helping promote the event in the school.

A final thanks to the Claregalway Hotel for giving us such a wonderful facility to have our bingo night, they could not have been any more accommodating.

With all costs paid out we raised €500 from our Bingo night, which will be all put back into the kids in the school so a big clap on the back to all that attended and we look forward to your support again with future events. For anyone that could not make it dont worry we have more stuff coming up.

We would be grateful also for any feedback on this event or anything else about the Parents Association. Drop us an email.

Kind Regards,
Clement.
