The Corrandulla show is a great day out for all the family, the show has a section to suit everybody from young to old. The show consists of Horse & Pony Showing Classes, Horse & Pony Jumping, Cattle Show, Dog Show, Fun Fair, Arts & Crafts for young and old, Bonny Baby Show, Sheaf Throwing, Tug of War, Vintage Machinery Displays, Trade stands and a Country Market. This year the show hosts a major new event – The Connacht Show Jumping Grand Prix with prize money of €3000. The Grand Prix along with a supporting 1.2m class and an Amateur Grand Prix will attract Irelands top Show Jumpers and should provide some wonderful sport and entertainment. The Grand Prix is kindly sponsored by Hennelly’s Bar, Corrandulla. Improvements are always being made and this year is no exception. The Cattle Section has added a new class ‘Best Young Stockperson under the age of 15 to lead and show their animal’ kindly sponsored by St. Jarleths Credit Union. The Horse Section has been awarded a qualifier for the Botanica International All Ireland Irish Draught Mare & Foal Championship with €3000 up for grabs at the final.
