There was deep sadness throughout the entire area as news spread of the tragic death of Nathan Coen of Sheeaun Park. The loss of another young man at a young age came as devastating news for the community, but especially for his family. Nathan was much loved and cherished among his friends and his passing has left lives shattered. With his always pleasant and pleasing personality, Nathan had a great love of cars and his many car friends and colleagues formed a guard of honour at his funeral. He was the youngest of six children of Frank and Teresa Coen and will be very sadly missed by his family.

Nathan’s remains were removed from Lackagh Mortuary Chapel to the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh. Following concelebrated Requiem Mass where chief celebrant Fr Des Walsh (PP Lackagh) was joined by Fr Brendan Kilcoyne (PP Athenry) and Fr John Dunleavy (SMA), burial took place in Lackagh Cemetery.

Nathan is survived by his parents Frank and Teresa, brothers Frank, Aidan, Emmett and Vincent, sister Amanda, sister-in-law Aisling, nephew Darragh, niece Aine, godchild Sophia, special aunt and uncle Peg and Joe, aunts, uncles, grand-aunt and a large circle of relatives, neighbours and friends.
