A free safety event on farming and driving will take place on Tuesday 10th of March in Claregalway Hotel.

The event will focus on safety on farms and vehicle driving. There will be particular emphasis on agricultural vehicle safety, including on public roads.

Other aspects of farm safety will also be covered, in particular farm animals as well as slurry storage and precautions to be taken to reduce risks for farmers, children and visitors.

Light refreshments will be available. Registration commences at 6.30pm on Tuesday 10th of March and the talks will run from 7–9pm.

Topics and speakers include Tackling the Risks Arising from Farm Animals and their Slurry by John Kennedy, Health & Safety Authority, Driving for Work—a Risky Business by Deirdre Sinnot McFeat, Health & Safety Authority and Rescue Services Experiences by Paul Duffy, Galway Fire and Rescue.

The event will be of interest to farmers and other members of the farming or agricultural community, health and safety professionals and people who drive for work.
