Irish TV will broadcast a brand new Galway episode of the popular County Matters series on April 24th at 8.30pm. County Matters is a unique series that showcases the diverse lives of people and their communities, as well as businesses, organisations, festivals and events from across the nation’s 32 counties.

Sinéad Ní Neachtain presents and Jimmy Norman directs/produces this upcoming episode of Galway County Matters.

A variety of features are lined up to keep viewers of all ages and all interests entertained, including an interview with blacksmith Peter Folan, who gives the crew a tour of his forge, and a chat with Connacht Rubgy players Ronan Loughney and Mick Kearney.

There is an interview with Brian G Burke, an Athenry-based author who is writing the third book in his trilogy, and the team visit Ballinasloe Men’s Shed, a valuable resource for the men of Ballinasloe.

Finally, there is an insight into Galway Community Circus, a charitable organisation build on fun, innovation and a commitment to inspiring and empowering people through circus arts.

The half-hour episode will air on Friday April 24th at 8.30pm on the Irish TV channel on Sky 191. The show can also be watched on Freesat 400 and online at www.irishtv.com in the UK. Irish viewers can also watch on eircom’s eVision 191 and all free to air boxes.
