In March 2015, John Cunniffe took over the management of the Garden Centre in the JPK Complex in Knockdoemore, Claregalway. He stocks a vast variety of trees and shrubs and provides a consultancy landscaping service. John lives in Kiltullagh, Athenry. He began his career in Horticulture in the Franciscan College in Multyfarnam College in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath where he obtained a Certificate in Horticulture. He progressed to the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin and gained a Diploma in Amenity Horticulture.
He worked as a Clerk of works for twelve years, where he was responsible for overseeing landscaping projects by local authorities. In 2005, he began his own landscaping business, and later obtained a Certificate in Train the Trainer (Fetac Level 6) for the Delivery of Horticulture Courses.
