SN Baile Clár na Gaillimhe launched its school fundraiser Who Wants to be a Thousandaire recently. The event will take place on Friday 12th February and is kindly being hosted by the Claregalway Hotel. The school is currently undertaking major development of the school grounds, consisting of a variety of play areas, courts and pitches.
This is a a costly endeavour but the school believes that the children deserve play areas and facilities that one would expect in the 21st century. A number of major sponsors have come on board: Hughes SuperValu, Raftery’s Centra, Collins & Boyd Engineering, Claregalway Pharmacy, Claregalway Dental Surgery, Optique Opticians, Briarhill and The Arches Hotel, as well as a large number of advertisers from Claregalway and surrounding areas.
Hector Ó hEochagáin was on hand to buy the first ticket for the event from the children in the school. Tickets are available from the school (091 798720) and will also be available at the door. Any local business interested in advertising at the event can contact the school to arrange same. This promises to be a super night’s entertainment.
People are asked to come along and bring a friend and they may even go home with a thousand euro.
