Tree planting day at Cregboy Golf Academy/ volunteers needed for this great initiative.
On the 11th of February we are having a tree planting day at Cregboy Golf Academy. During the design phase of our Academy, large parcels of land were earmarked for tree planting, with the hope of restoring some natural woodland on the site. As it stands we are looking to plant approximately 6,000 trees on 4-5 acres. With support from a foundation called
One Million Trees In One Day and sponsored by Enterprise Rent-a-Car we are now able to start planting…. so…. we need your help (!!) …. to plant them all in one day. You don’t need any experience of tree planting, and we don’t expect you to spend all day here planting trees, but if you fancy making a positive contribution to the environment, and providing a home for some squirrels, please put the 11th of February in your diary and come down for an hour or two, anytime from 9am to sunset.
The whole family are welcome to get involved and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers!
