Congratulations to our U14 Ladies Div1 League Winners. It finished Claregalway

6-16 Kilkerrin Clonberne 3-11.

Well done to Kaitlin Kearney, Sinead Donovan, Andrea Trill and the Galway U-16 ladies who played Cork on Wednesday evening last in Nenagh at 7pm in the All-Ireland Final.

Well done to the Senior Ladies on their win over Dunmore McHales in the Senior Championship played in Knockdoemore on Friday evening. Played in torrential rain it was 3 points to nil at the break. Megan Glynn scored the Claregalway goal in the second half and Claregalway ran out convincing winners on a 1-12 to no score scoreline. A win in their final group game against Clonbur will guarantee top spot in the group and a County Semi-final place.

Claregalway maintain good senior league form. Sunday week last saw another win for the side in Division 3 when they overcame a fancied Spiddal team on a score line of 2-12 to 1-12 at Lakeview.  The win ultimately rested on a fine first half by the home side with two goals, the second , a really well worked move at pace from a full back turnover finished in some style by upcoming star Barry Goldrick. This gave a half time advantage of 2-07 to 1-05 to the home side. Spiddal came out much more focused with upped intensity for second half scoring 4 points without reply. Eventually Claregalway got to the pace of the game with a fine surging run  from centre back Pauric Kearney yielding the steadying score.  He was home side player of the game scoring 3 impressive points.  However credit to the home team in what was a tenacious squad display as many of the regulars were not available for the game and they showed great determination to keep pressing in late stages to register a valuable win keeping them near top of the table and momentum building towards the championship.
