Lackagh Museum and Community Development Association will shortly be launching their Men’s Shed project.  The Association has recently erected and equipped a steel shed workshop adjacent to the New Parish Centre whilst other activities will take place in the Parish Centre, the It Room and the Knockdoe Room.

Initial activities will include antique farm machinery and implement restoration along with hurley repair and banding.  There will also be regular information sessions on men’s health and well- being, rights and entitlements and other topics of interest with a range of community education courses planned for early next year.

The museum committee would welcome people who could help out with organising the activities. They would also welcome people with skills such as woodworking and metalworking which they could share with the Shed’s participants.

For more information or if you would like to participate in the project, call to the Museum Monday-Friday or contact Gerry on 085-1554214
