Plans are being put in place for the eagerly anticipated Strictly Claregalway 2019. We are currently looking for dancers. No experience necessary as full training will be provided. If you are interested in being a dancer please contact Fiona or Geraldine (their contact details can be got through the Club Secretary or Treasurer). This is a great fundraiser for the club and a great event to take part in so please support.

Congratulations to Chellene Trill who has been chosen by Connacht Ladies Gaelic Football Council as their Connacht Young Player of the Year 2018. Chellene will receive her award on Saturday 1st December at the TG4 LGFA All Star Awards in City West Dublin. Chellene becomes the first Claregalway player to receive the award and attend the All-Star Awards. Well  done to the Club Junior ladies who booked a County Junior A semi-final with a merited win over Grainne Mhaols Team last Wednesday in Knockdoemore. In a great game of Football the home team emerged victories on a Final score of 5-13 to 5-9. They are due to play the semi-final this weekend. The Seniors are also out in their Championship semi-final v Kilkerrin\Clonberne on Sunday with time and venue TBC. Well done to our U-16 Ladies who defeated Corofin in their Championship semi last Monday by 6-9 to 1-5 and also our u12’s who defeated St Fursey’s by two goals.  Good luck to the 12’s in their final this weekend with details yet to be announced. Well done to the U-8 Girls who took part in the Tuam\Cortoon Blitz last Saturday morning along with the Annaghdown and Corofin Clubs. Claregalway Ladies are delighted to have been chosen to be part of LGFA Club2Gether programme for the coming season. This is an exciting LGFA club development initiative aimed at strengthening club structures. Day 1 took place in Croke Park on Saturday and was attended by several Club Officers. Day 2 will be on 3rd November.

In the Men’s Senior Championship Claregalway beat Carraroe 3-12 to 1-16 to ensure senior football championship status for next season.

The Minor lads were beaten by Northern Gaels in Glenamaddy in the A Championship North on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-8.
