The death has occurred of Bridget Smyth (née Glynn) Loughgeorge, Claregalway and formerly of Mervue. Peacefully, in her 98th year in the excellent care of the staff of Mystical Rose Nursing Home, Beloved wife of the late Michael Smyth, pre deceased by her adored grandson Donnchadh (Donny) Glynn her sister Sr Michael (R.J.M) and her brother Mick (Mullacuttra). Deeply regretted by her daughters Maria Glynn (Rooaunmore) and Brid Smyth (U.K), her sons Mike (Australia) and Pat (Australia), her devoted son-in-law Gerry Glynn, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, her sisters Sr Anne Marie (R.J. M Dublin) Margaret (Dublin), and Nonie (New York), her brothers Jim (New York), Peter (Foxford), Sean (New York) and Matt (New York), extended family , neighbours and friends. May Bridget’s gentle soul rest in peace Arriving at the Assumption and St James’ Church, Claregalway, on Monday morning for private funeral Mass for family members only at 11am, burial afterwards in Claregalway Cemetery.
