Senior ladies played Kilkerrin-Clonberne in round 2 of the Division 1 league on Sunday in Claregalway. This was again a well contested game with an Orla Dixon goal seperating the Teams at half time 1–4 to 0–4. Kilkerrin-Clonberne aided by the stiff breeze applied plenty of preasure in the second half but strong defending by the Claregalway backs and well taken points from Siobhan Gavin, Siofra Leonard and Charlotte Coooney ensured a home win on a score of 1–9 to 0–10.

Congratulations to Michelle Dunleavey who won an All-Ireland with the Galway Minor Camoige on Saturday U14 Gold Team played Monivea-Abbey in the opening round of the league in Knockdoemore on Saturday last. Aided by the breeze Claregalway were 2–5 to 0–1 up at halftime. Monivea dominated the second half but were unable to get the goals needed and Claregalway held on for a 3–6 to 0–7 win.

Training for all U14s on Wednesday in Knockdoemore at 7pm. Hard luck to the Galway U14s who were piped by a point by mayo in the Connaught Championship.

U14 Greens began their League on Monday evening playing away to Corofin. The Teams were evenly matched all through the game with the sides level at halftime 2–1 to Claregalway’s 1–4. The game finished with a draw of 3–6 to each team. We would like to wish Ellie Glynn a speedy recovery from an injury received at the game.

U16 Gold Team played Caherlistrane away in their last League Game on Saturday last. Despite a brave performance it was Caherlistrane who took the points on a final score of 3–5 to 1–7.


U12 Gold played Corofin Ambers in Knockdoemore at the weekend. It was Claregalway who led at the break but despite a brilliant effort lost out after some late scores from Corofin. The Gold team play Monivea Abbey in the next round of the League. U12 Green play away to Salthill/Knocknacarra this weekend with the date and time to be confirmed. U12 & U10 training continues Saturday at 5.15pm and Monday at 6.30pm in Knockdoe.
