U12 Green played Corofin on Monday evening in Claregalway in the second last game of the league. The Claregalway Girls started the strongest with the Claregalway defenders in particular putting up a brilliant performance. Scores were hard won but it was Claregalway who led at the break on a 2–5 to 1–1 scoreline. The second half began with the same intensity with Corofin putting a few points on the scoreboard to narrow the gap. A goal from Corofin brought it back to a one point difference. Corofin denied Claregalway many scoring opportunities in what was overall a brilliant game of football with Corofin winning out in the end on a scoreline of 2–8 to 2–6. The final game v Tuam Cortoon is yet to be fixed. Training continues Saturday at 5.15pm in Knockdoe and 6.30pm on Monday.


U14 Gold Team played Clonbur at home in Round 3 of the League on Monday. Aided by the breeze Claregalway led at the break 4–3 to no score. Clonbur came more into the game in the secondhalf and scored four goals but two late Claregalway goals sealed a 8–4 to 4–2 victory. Afterwards the Green Team played Killlain and again were wind assisted in the first half and led at the break 3–5 to 2–1. The second half was keenly contested with Claregalway winning on a final score of 5–8 to 3–5. Training for all on Wednesdays in Knockdoemor from 7–8pm.


Claregalway Senior Ladies played Boyle away on Monday in the Connaught league and had a first victory in this competition on a score of 5–12 to 4–9.


The U16 Girls played Kilkerrin-Clonbern in the Div 1 league Final in Milltown on Bank Holiday Monday. Claregalway were slow to get into the Game and trailed by 13 points to 2 points at the break. Aided by the breeze the Claregalway girls got into the game in the second half and had the gap back to 4 points with ten minutes still to play. However it was Kilkerrin-Clonbern who finished the stronger and won on a score of 1–17 to 2–6.
