Claregalway-Lackagh had a great weekend of sport at the County Athletic Finals in Ballinderreen on Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June.  Our youngest athletes at U-8 had a great experience and represented us with pride and they have a bright future over the coming years. They included Eanna O’Loingsigh, Cillian Trayers, Aoibhe O’Flynn, Cillian Whelen, Sean Duggan and Sharon Mac Manamon.  Likewise at U-10, Gerard O’Riordan, Nadine Mac Manamon and Conor O’Brien all ran really well.  At U-12 level, Mary Duggan ran brilliantly and was just outside the medals, while Aoife Lyons, Maurice O’Brien and Dylan Killalea did great in the ball throw competition.  Rory Owens had a fine race in the final of the boys U-14 800m and Dara O’Connell did brilliant in the U-16 100 metres.
