Claregalway U14 Ladies captured the Division 4 League Title when they defeated St Gabriels in a close game on Friday evening in Maree Pitch. Claregalway lead at halftime by 1–2 to 0–2 with Orla O’Gorman getting a fine goal and Laura King kicking the points. Early in the second half St Gabriels hit the Claregalway net and the scores remained level till the closing stages when Claregalwy added two more points to win by 1–4 to 1–2. In a very sporting game either Team could have won it.

Pat Rattigan from the County Board presented that trophy and said it was a very high standard for Div 4. We wish St Gabriels all the best in the upcoming Championship. As a result of this win Claregalway Gold Team will play Dunmore in C Championship with the Green Team meeting MenloughSkehana in the opening round. This game was Sky Nash’s last for the club and she contributed greatly getting her teams vital third point to put Claregalway on the road to victory. We wish her and her family all the best as they depart for Canada.
