Claregalway added the Connacht Minor Ladies Title to the Intermediate Crown won last weekend. They played Roscommon Champions Clann na Gael of Roscommon in the Connacht Minor Final on Sunday in Clonbern.

Played in ideal conditions Claregalway were quick to settle and had four points on the scoreboard before Clann na Gael got their first score. Claregalway were very much on top at midfield and with a good supply of ball to the forwards the scores continued and by halftime Claregalway were up 2–12 to 0–3.

Clann tried hard to get into the game after the break but the Claregalway defence were in fine form and weren’t giving away scores easily and limited Clan’s second half tally to three points. Good fast attacking football from Claregalway kept the scoreboard ticking over and at the final whistle had chalked up a fine tally of 2–22 to Clann na Gaels 0–6.

After the game Connacht President Kathleen Kane presented the Cup to winning captain Síofra Leonard. Ruth Horkan received the Player of the Game Trophy for her outstanding display at fullback.
