New Chairperson
Patrick Killilea was elected chairperson of Carnmore Senior Hurling Club at the well attended AGM on the 30th of December 2013. He takes over from Brian Fox, to whom the club are very grateful for his hard work, as Chairperson, over the past four years. Patrick is wished the best as he takes on his new role, which hopefully, he will find challenging and rewarding.


New Treasurer
Kevin Shaughnessy is the new Treasurer and Registration Officer of Carnmore Senior Hurling Club replacing Andrew Talbot. Andrew stepped down at the AGM after giving four years of dedicated service to the Club, as Treasurer, and he is wished well in his future endeavours.


New Senior Manager
Seamus Qualter is the new Senior Manager. He was carefully selected by a sub committee, which was appointed in November, and tasked with the job of finding the right person to bring the Seniors successfully through 2014 and beyond. He is very much welcomed by Carnmore and wished the best.


Registration Evening
Carnmore Hurling Club will be holding their Registration Night for all Senior and Juvenile members for all age categories, on Friday 24th of January 2014 from 7pm to 8.30pm. All players must be registered before they commence training. There will be a raffle for each juvenile age group for those who register on the night. Registration forms available for download from our website. New members always welcome. 


Juvenile Winter Training Programme
The indoor Winter Training Programme for juvenile members, born in 2001 or before, resumed in the Centre at 6.30pm on Tuesday last, and will continue every Tuesday until further notice. The focus of this training will be on improving general fitness, agility, speed and physical conditioning. New recruits are always welcome. Cash for Clobber
This fund-raising initiative will continue for 2014. Please continue to gather up old clothes, shoes, handbags, belts etc and drop bags of these unwanted items into the caretaker, Mickey, in the Centre, between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.


Save the Night
Saturday night the 1st of March is a date to mark in your diaries. The annual Awards Night will be held on this night along with the launch of 2014 club fundraising initiatives. More details to follow.


GAA National Club Draw
Tickets are now on sale for the GAA National Club Draw. There are ten prizes including trips abroad, travel vouchers, All-Ireland Hurling Packages, Shopping Vouchers, Croke Park Premium Concert Tickets to mention a few. Tickets cost €10 and are available from all club officers & managers. All proceeds from ticket sales remain with Carnmore Hurling Club.


Advertising
An opportunity has arisen for businesses to avail of outdoor advertising at Carnmore Pitch. This will be available only on a first come, first served basis. Further details are available from Kevin Shaughnessy.
