The Claregalway U14 Féile Ladies Panel, despite their busy schedule over the past few months, still managed to do some fundraising for the The Carers Association. They sold St Patricks Day Ribbons in Flynn’s SuperValu Lackagh and raised €500 for the Association.

Two Claregalway Girls Teams headed to Dublin on Monday 30th of June for a National Blitz in Croke Park. Over sixty teams were participating from around the country. Fifteen U10 girls and fifteen U12 girls took to the pitch in their Claregalway colours for the afternoon session.

Before the games began, the girls were met by county players from Cork, Dublin, Leitrim and Monaghan. They quizzed the county players all about their experiences of being county stars. The two teams were presented with medals and a packed lunch before they took to the pitch for five games against teams from as far south as Kerry and as far north as Derry.

The girls kicked scores into the Hill side of Croke Park as their families and supporters cheered on from the Hogan Stand. Croke Park was bathed in sunshine as the girls got the opportunity to display their skills on the amazing pitch. It was a great experience for the young players and hopefully it will inspire our girls to become County stars of the future.
