Claregalway 8–13
St Brigits 0–7

Claregalway started off in the Connacht Final like they finished off in the Semi in lightning fashion. Megan Glynn again in command at midfield won the throw in and powered towards goal to lay off a super pass to Ciara Burke resulting in a superb goal after just twenty seconds of play. That set down the pace of the game that was yet to come and the Galway champions had 1–4 on the scoreboard before the Leitrim Champs registered their first point, Claregalway kept the pressure on their opponents backs and the Claregalway backs took care of any danger that came their way and it wasn’t long before they led by 3–8 to 0–3 going in at half time.

The second half got even more intense as the Claregalway mentors emptied the subs bench to get them into the game and they made a great contribution to the game. Claregalway are now Connacht Minor Ladies Football Champs on a Scoreline of 8–13 to 0–7. Claregalway racked up 20 goals and 60 points over the four games in the Connacht Championship which is a fantastic achievement and their Captain, fantastic Megan Glynn, was awarded Player of the Game on all four occasions. Claregalway would like to congratulate Kilkerrin / Clonberne on their fantastic one-point win over former All-Ireland Champions Carnacon. They put up a fantastic battle and good luck in Connacht and All-Ireland Senior Serious.
