Currently, Lakeview pitch is being heavily used by the Club and school and on top of the recent wet weather the pitch is cutting up badly. Also some coaches insist on doing drills on the main pitch despite the fact that the small pitch is available for this type of training. We would hope that coaches would adhere to the following guidelines;

  • No drills on main pitch – use the small pitch only.

  • No pre-match or pre-training warm-ups on main pitch – use the small pitch only.

  • Use the main pitch for game training and matches only. Coaches to use their discretion regarding the condition of the main pitch for training – if it is not suitable for play, change your training plan and use the small pitch.Thanks for your cooperationPlease note that when you book Cairde Mor, Knockdoemore Park or Lakeview for any use be it training or matches or a Blitz, you are responsible for the cleaning up of same. Please leave the club house and pitch as you would expect to find it. This includes sweep up rooms / toilets /kitchen; Leave kitchen tidy; Ensure that flags are brought in before you leave;
    Lock up and close gates at the end of the evening; Take all black bag /rubbish away with you;
    Encourage your teams to help with this, as many hands make light work. Many thanks for your co-operation.

Sports clubs across the county have been warned to step up security on their premises as scrap metal thieves target valuable cabling as easy pickings.
