Aoife Dempsey started her dancing career at the age of 3, following in the footsteps of her mother Marie O'Boyle, herself a very accomplished dancer, when she joined her siblings as pupils of the McCreanor School in Galway as a student of the great Ms. Maeve McCreanor R.I.P. Aoife continued to study under Maeve’s leadership and guidance throughout her competitive years achieving many team and solo successes and forming lifelong friendships along the way.

Aoife continued to dance throughout her school and college years obtaining B.A. and M.A. degrees while gaining invaluable experience training as an Irish dancing teacher with the McCreanor School. She successfully qualified as a dancing teacher in 2009 and continued to teach along side her mentor.
Following the untimely passing of Ms. Maeve McCreanor R.I.P. in 2011 the Corrib School was born. Named for the beautiful river Corrib. It is our goal that every pupil fulfills their potential, while being active and healthy, creating long lasting friendships, and most importantly enjoying themselves. The school strives to uphold these wonderful values as passed on to us by Maeve, a most encouraging and inspirational teacher and friend.
