The residents committee of An Mhainistir has organised a cleanup of the estate to take place this week –

Monday 28th June to Wednesday 30th inclusive from 7.00pm to 9.00pm each evening.

We are asking all residents to help out. The plan is to collect litter, sweep up any glass on the road and do some weeding in the shrub areas. Because we do not have any funding, those participating will need to bring their own equipment. Suggested items include a plastic bag, suitable gloves, brushes and shovels and any other gardening tools you may have. We will also need to take the rubbish we collect back to our own bins.  Volunteers should meet at the top of the estate at 7pm each evening and depending on numbers we will then split into groups to tackle each section of the estate. Every contribution counts and children are welcome to help out too. A lot can be done in just 30 minutes and as the saying goes “many hands make light work”!

The grass has been cut recently by residents who volunteered their time and provided their own equipment. Thank you to those who participated. The residents’ committee is continuing to work on the longer term plans for the management of the estate and while progress is slow at the moment, we are hoping to have made progress before the end of the year. We will keep you informed.

Thank you
An Mhainistir Residents’ Committee
