Following the success of last years “Family Fun Day & Motorsport Show”, Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs in Oranmore are delighted to announce that they will once again host this wonderful day out for all the family.

The event, run in aid of CD’s Helping Hands, the children’s cancer charity for the west of Ireland will take place on Sunday July 18th 2010. From 2-6pm, visitors will be treated to displays such as stunt riding by Mattie Griffin, kick boxing by Ken Horan and various aqua displays courtesy of Galway’s Atlantaquaria.

With face painting, bouncy castles, rally cars, vintage cars and helicopters on site – this fun day out offers something for every member of the family young and old. There is no admission charge but visitors are invited to make a donation to CD’s Helping Hands on the day.

CD’s Helping Hands is a Galway based charity who provide support services for the families of children from the west of Ireland who are affected by childhood cancer. The charity was set up in 2006 and is the only dedicated charity for children suffering from cancer in the country. At any given time, along the western seaboard of Ireland up to 150 children are suffering from this devastating disease leaving families shattered and at a loss as to how to cope. CD’s Helping Hands work with these families to find a way which will help them to put their lives back together and get on with day to day living while their brother/ sister / daughter or son get on with getting better.

Fundraising events such as “The Family Fun Day & Motorsport Show” are vital to the survival of the charity and all support no matter how small is very much appreciated.
