The Parish of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway Pastoral Council is arranging neighbourhood Masses in the church for people of different neighbourhoods within the parish during Lent.  It’s an effort to give neighbours a chance to meet in smaller groups than in the general parish Masses.  They are also bringing people to look out for each other in an awareness campaign following the ongoing spate of break-ins to many homes in rural Ireland.  The pastoral council invites parishioners from various areas to attend a special Mass for the people of that area for a cup of tea afterwards in the Cairdeas meeting room at Claregalway, beside the church.  Schedule as follows: Tues 26 at 7.30pm for villages of Carnmore East and West, Lydican, Ballinacreg, Caherlea, Lissarulla, Ballymurphy, Crusheen and Gortacleva.  Tues March 5 at 7.30pm. for villages of Cregboy, Rockwood, Rockmount, Lakeview, Lakeview Estate, Slí an Bhradáin, Church View, Cuairt na hAbhann and Gleann Mhuiris.  Tues, Marc 12 at 7.30pm for the villages of Cloon, Pollaghrevagh, Clogher, Cahergowan, Summerfield, Montiagh, River Oaks, An Mhainistir, Claregalway from the Church to the bridge.  Tues March 19 at 7.30pm. for the villages of Claregalway from the bridge to Loughgeorge, Cloonbiggeen, Gortcloonmore, Waterdale, Rooaunmore, Knockdoe, Kiniska, Caraun and Kiltrogue.  People from the wider community also welcome to attend.
