The Annual SMA Family Open Day has now become a permanent fixture now on the local calendar of Summer Events around Claregalway and once again on this coming Bank Holiday weekend Sunday, June 2nd has been set as the date for 2013 commencing at 1pm until 5pm.

The Event helps to put SMA House and its missionary activities on the map and through a varied programme of activities inside the House and on the Grounds, patrons and supporters are guaranteed an enjoyable few hours of entertainment and social inter-action. Following the success of previous years once again the Dog Show takes centre stage proving to be one of the main attractions in recent years. Further detail with regard to the Dog Show on the day can be made to Tom McCann on 087 4179175.

There is always a job to be done and the SMA Fathers are always looking for the extra little bit of help and anyone that can spare a few hours and are free on the day, the SMA Fathers would greatly appreciate the support and having an opportunity to greet and meet you. Donations in cash or kind will be very much appreciated. Unwanted gifts or second hand material (in good condition) can be handed into the SMA House before hand. Baking a cake is always a popular means of help. Fliers with fuller information on the day are available in SMA House. Entertainment is also provided on the day and once again by Lackagh Comhaltas will lead the entertainment. It is hoped that there will also be some African Cultural dances and a special guest appearance by six times World Champion Claire Greaney from Loughgeorge. As space on the grounds is at a premium on the Day, it would be appreciated if cars could be parked in the facilities available outside the SMA premises.  No parking space is far from the House.  Stewards will be on hand to help you. Admission is free and all the proceeds of the Day go towards SMA missionary work in Africa.
