The well-known Central Tavern in Loughgeorge, Claregalway has been purchased by Brendan Kelly. Brendan runs two bars/grills in Manhattan, New York and hopes to replicate the same here in Loughgeorge.  The premises is under re-roofing at the moment and the interior work will then commence.  Brendan hopes to be open for business by the end of 2017.

The premises is no longer trading, but has been sold with the full seven day public licence in place.

The Central Tavern is located on the Tuam side of Claregalway village and stands on a large site just off the main Galway to Tuam road, before the turn off for the N63 Roscommon Road.

This is a property which was once a thriving business and enjoys a huge passing trade due to its prominent position on this busy N17 route and serves a huge catchment area.

It is easily accessible and has a large car park area which also facilities large vehicles. The premises is substantial in size measuring 8,458 sq ft and stands on a 3.1 acre site.

The accommodation comprises a public bar, pool room, restaurant area, function room and kitchen.
