Reuse Event in Claregalway Hotel

Do you want to learn more about reuse, repair and upcycling? If so, come along to a Reuse Event which will be held in the Claregalway Hotel on Thursday 27th October between 5.00pm – 8.00pm. This event has been organised as part of this year’s National Reuse Month.

Galway County Council in conjunction with Speco Environmental Services are bringing Galway’s first Reuse Event to the public. The event will bring together individuals, groups and businesses all of whom are involved in reusing or upcycling materials.

The aim of this event is to highlight that some waste material destined for disposal can be repaired or upcycled or recreated into another item. Some waste material is a valuable resource and this event will help draw attention to this. On display will be a large variety of upcycling techniques demonstrating the potential diversity of many materials.

Come along to the event and see examples of how reuse, repair and upcycling can be successfully achieved – clothes, furniture, glass ware, art and craft and much more. The event is open to the public and is free of charge – come along and bring a friend!
