U 14 Ladies County Final Win
On Saturday Nov 5th Claregalway U14 Gold team played the Div 4 Shield final v. Caherlistrane…the Girls fought very hard in the first half to stay in the Game ,but were unable to haul in a very strong Caherlistrane team as the game wore on and the Game finished on a scoreline of Caherlistrane 3-7 Claregalway Gold 1-2.

In our Second Game of the Day at 1.45pm the Claregalway U14 Green team played the Div 1A County Final v. Naomh Mhuire (Oranmore)..There has been very little between the teams over the years, in their last meeting the game ended in a draw..Claregalway got off to a great start and had the ball in the Oranmore net after 5 minutes. Oranmore then had a purple patch of possession, but found it very hard to break down the Claregalway Defence.. meanwhile the Girls were making Great use of their Possession and kept tacking on Scores when the opportunities arose. some of the support running was great to watch..Oranmore got in for a goal of their own before Halftime to leave the Halftime Score Claregalway 4-2 Naomh Mhuire 1-2..in the second Half Scores were very hard to come-by because of some trojan work by Both Defences..Claregalway were determined to keep their noses in front and Despite the best efforts of the opposition they were not Going to be denied and tacked on a further 1-2 to finish on a score line of Claregalway 5-4 Naomh Mhuire 1-2..Capt Anna Conneally Accepted the Cup on behalf of the team and thanked everyone for their support on the day and over the whole Year in a very thoughtful Captain’s Speech..the Girls of Both Teams.. and their families were invited to the Claregalway Hotel for some food after the Game
