RENOVATION work on The Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh commenced this week and the Church will be closed to facilitate the work. The following arrangements apply while the Church is closed: Weekend Masses at the usual times Saturday 7.40pm and Sunday 11:30am in Turloughmore Social Centre at Lackagh. The Small Chapel will be used for weekday Masses and for Adoration on Monday and Wednesday. It will also be used for Baptisms and for reposing at time of Funerals. Funeral Masses will be celebrated in neighbouring churches and marriages which were arranged have been accommodated in other churches. Persons are asked to take note that the small chapel will be open during the day with the Blessed Sacrament reserved for visiting. For Masses at Turloughmore Social Centre cars may drop off people who need to be dropped off at the door of the centre but no parking is permitted on the upper level near the building. Drivers of cars to the weekend Masses are asked to park their cars properly and not to block entrance and exits or the road in to the centre. The Pastoral Council wish to apologise for any inconveniences caused but if work is to progress it was necessary to close the Church.
