Rockmount Riding Centre is one of the oldest and largest riding centres in the West of Ireland.  Established in 1972 by John and Treasa Moore, it is now being run by their son David and his wife Verran.

Located jut 6 km from Galway City Centre on the N17 close to Claregalway Village, Rockmount provides for all level of riders. Children and adults, from the complete beginner to the most advanced rider are catered for.

Riding lessons for Children are held during the afternoon and on Saturdays and adults are catered for in the evening.  They also have four fully qualified instructors, with years of experience.

Groups and Social Clubs are very welcome and great rates are available.  Camps for Children are held during the holiday periods.

THE Easter camps cater for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders.  All levels of rider have riding lessons, lectures and fun and games.

Easter Camp dates are as follows:

Camp 1 – Wed and Thursday 28 and 29 March.

Camp 2 – Tuesday 3 to Fri 6 April.

The Summer Camps are of five days duration (improvers to advanced) and a camp for complete beginners is also available.

Payment options are available from paying for your one lesson per week as you go to paying for a course of 10 lessons and availing of some great offers.

Rockmount also has a livery yard where clients have the full use of all the facilities such as indoor arena, oudoor arena, cross country course, turnout paddocks.

Showjumping Liveries – Breaking – Getting ponies/horses ready for sales or inspections – these are all services Rockmount provides.

Springmount Riding Club The Mid West Pony Club Riding for Disabled Galway Branch all use Rockmount as their base so it is a very busy and lively Riding Centre.
