Funding for Claregalway Leisure Centre
Seán Kyne, Government Chief Whip, Minister for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, and Fine Gael TD for Galway West and Mayo South has allocated funding of €18, 170 for the Ionad Fóillíochta Bhaile Chláir / Claregalway Leisure Centre.
Commented Minister Kyne: “This funding of €18, 170 will help to provide a new floor for this facility which is used extensively by the local community, including local sports groups and local schools.
The funding from my Department – the Gaeltacht section of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will cover up to half of the cost and is being provided under the five year action plan for the Irish language.
I’m delighted to be able to allocate this funding as it will benefit many teams and organisations, as well as the general public, in Claregalway and the wider area.”
