In a high scoring game of swaying fortunes Claregalway NS lost narrowly to Dunmore NS in the play-off for the final of Roinn B 15-a-side. The score was 5–8 to 4–8 and the game was played in Barnaderg. Missing some of their leading players, Claregalway gave a great display with Gary Dillon outstanding at centrefield. Others to shine were Robert Raftery, Stephen Cunniffe and Jimmy Noone.
