U12 Green Ladies played Kilkerrin Clonberne in the fourth game of the Championship in Claregalway on Monday evening. This was a tightly fought contest from start to finish with nothing to separate the two teams. Both sets of defenders worked hard to minimise scores and there was just 3 points between the teams at the break 1-4 to 0-3. The second half was more of the same with the Kil/Clonberne side starting the strongest narrowing the gap before equalising with just 5 minutes to go. An excellent point from play put Claregalway just one point ahead and despite intense pressure from the opposition they managed to hold on to this slim lead until the final whistle. The final score was Claregalway 2-5, Kilkerrin Clonberne 1-7.
