Aloe Vera is an extract from a desert plant of the same name. Its use has a very long history dating back some 3,500 years for both beauty and medicinal purposes. Aloe Vera is a very pure, safe and versatile plant extract. As you may be aware it is already widely used in shampoos, conditioners and creams. A minimum of 55% Aloe should be used in such preparation to be effective. Aloe Vera can even be consumed as a health drink. Aloe Vera looks like a cactus but in fact it belongs to the lily family which blooms annually. It is evergreen in colour on the outside but is a clear substance inside, not green. The leaves grow to about 30 inches in length in a rosette pattern. Forever Living grows only Aloe Barbadensis, even though there are more than 200 different species of Aloe Vera. Only mature Aloe Vera plants providing 100% full gel potency are used. Millions of people have used Aloe Vera products with very positive results.
