One of the highlights of this year’s festive calendar is a Christmas Fair in the grounds of Claregalway Castle that will feature a magical puppet and storytelling show.

The Castle, which has hosted hugely successful summer garden fêtes in recent years, will be transformed into a winter wonderland on Saturday December 13th and Sunday 14th, when a host of craftspeople and artisan food producers will sell their wares as part of the Made in Galway initiative.

Enjoy the festive atmosphere with a glass of mulled wine while browsing through a fabulous array of stalls displaying some of the most creative and unusual products made in Galway city and county.

Along with the children’s entertainment, a juggling and fire show will cater for all age groups while a variety of music including Silver Moon jazz ensemble and Galway Baytones will add to the atmosphere.

Admission to the fair is free and gates will be open from 12 noon to 8pm on both days, with parking on site, beside Claregalway Abbey and at the nearby Arches Hotel.
