The excellent production of Conor McPherson’s ‘The Birds’ by Compántas Lir  drama group has received the highest of praise following the presentation in An Taibhdhearc last week.

Compántas Lir, who won the All Ireland confined section last year, has taken on the hugely challenging role of Conor McPherson’s ‘The Birds’, but with the talented cast of Mary Killackey, Eoin McCarthy, Vincent Moran and Ruth O’Driscoll and under the excellent production of Dermot Hession, Compántas Lir have delivered once again.

Over the coming weeks they will be competing in the Open section in drama festivals around the country.

They will be in Enniskillen on Saturday, March 4th, in Mountmellick on the following night Sunday, March 5th, Wednesay, March 8th in Roscommon and on Saturday, March 11th they are in Ballyduff, West Waterford and on Monday, March 13th in Claremorris.

On thursday, March 23rd they will be back on their home turf in the Claregalway Festival of Drama.

On Saturday, March 25th they are on the road again when they travel to Scarriff,Co Clare and on Wednesday 29th March they finish the circuit in Glenamaddy.
