Claregalway junior ladies took on St Furseys in the County Junior B championship Final in Glenamaddy on Sunday afternoon. The strong cross wind and frequent showers didn’t prevent the young Claregalway girls displaying their skills and Claregalway led at halftime by 2-10 to 1-4. A super defensive display by the team in the second half restricted the opposition to 2 points resulting in a 3-15 to 1-6 win for Claregalway. Claregalway will play at Senior and Junior A next year and this is a great achievement. After the game Padraic O’Flaherty of the County Board presented the cup to winning captain Siofra Leonard.
