Community Games, an independent voluntary organisation operating through the local community provides opportunities for children and young people to experience a wide range of sporting and cultural activities before concentrating on and specialising in those most suitable and attractive to them.

Claregalway/Lackagh Community Games were held in Claregalway Leisure Centre on May 26th at 2 p.m.

The athletic qualifiers represented Claregalway/Lackagh at the Galway Sportsground on Sunday 7th July as follows:

Next year Claregalway/Lackagh will celebrate their 25th Anniversary. We need volunteers to assist with the Games. We will be holding a meeting to elect a committee in the Autumn. We would like to see representatives from Claregalway, Carnmore, Bawnmore, Lackagh, Cregmore and Coolarne at this meeting.
