Ladies Football: Intermediates travelled to Caltra on Sunday in the Div 1 league where the pitch was declared unplayable. Junior D hosted St James in Round 3 of the Div 4 League. St James were the stronger team in the 1st half and were dominant all over the field leading 0–9 to 0–0 going into the break. Claregalway fought back in the second half reducing the deficit to just 3 pts on a final scoreline of 1–10 to 2–4.

U16s travelled to Moycullen on Wednesday 17th April. Played in dreadful conditions, Claregalway were the stronger team on the evening coming away with a strong win. U16’s were due to play Naomh Mhuire this week but this has now been deferred as Oranmore are behind in their fixtures. The next game for U16s will be V Corofin. A time and date has yet to be confirmed.

The U14’s travelled to Belclare on Sunday to take part in the County Féile. Claregalway were fixed to play Glenamaddy/Williamstown in the opening game at 10:30. Aided by the hill and breeze the Claregalway Girls were quickly into the Game and had a comanding lead at the break. They kept up the performance in the second half to win 4–7 to 0–1. It was then straight into the second game against our hosts. Corofin were on top for the opening minutes and took an early 1–3 lead, but showing the spirit that got them to the last three National finals the Claregalway Girls fought their way back in to the game and lead at the break 3–1 to 1–3. However the extra game took its toll in the second half with the fresher Corofin team going on to win 4–4 to 4–2. It was a great performance by this group of Girls who came within a kick of the ball of the eventual winners. We wish Corofin well in the National Finals in Derry in June.
