Claregalway play Kilkerrin/Clonbern in the Mairead Meehan County Minor Final in Caltra on Sunday at 3pm. Please support the girls as the face the reigning County Senior Champions

Claregalway U14 ladies travelled to Kilmacud on Saturday for the FBD All-Ireland Sevens. With 32 Teams taking part from 23 counties this is always a great Tournament. Claregalway’s opening Game was against Dungarvan who were to go on and win the Shield. After a great battle this game finished level Claregalway 7–1 Dungarvan 6–4. Claregalway then defeated Rathvilly 11–0 to 6–3 and Dublin Team Scoil Uí Chonaill 9–6 to 4–2. These results left Claregalway top of their group and setup a meeting with the All-Ireland Féile Champions Foxrock/Cabinteely. This was one of the Games of the day with both Teams determined to come out on top. At halftime Claregalway lead by 1–3 to 1–0 and put in a fantastic second half against the wind to knockout the Féile Champions by a single point 3–3 to 3–2. Unfortunately both Andrea and Mave picked up injuries in this match.

In the quarter final Claregalway lead St Pauls, the Laois Champions, at halftime but between injuries and tired legs were unable to hold on for a semi-final spot. With at least half of this panel eligible again next year the future is bright for Claregalway. The Panel that represented the Club so well were Valeria Coleman, Gemma Coll, Shauna Flaherty, Amy Walsh, Andrea Trill, Sinead Doovan, Niamh McGrath, Caitlin Quinn, Emma Coakley and Mave Moran. In the Galway Championship Claregalway lost out narrowly to Tuam-Cortoon last Wednesday in the Championship 1–10 to 2–5.  The Claregalway Girls put in a great effort in difficult circumstances and are now involved in a three way playoff with Tuam and Corofin.
