A nice thought for our weekend after a prom walk……
Love grows by giving.
Always give something to every person you meet this week and always,
whether it be a smile,
hug, courage, compassion, care, forgiveness, time, mercy,care, love, prayers, honesty, understanding, acceptance, friendship, strength, inspiration, encouragement, or an act of kindness, no matter how small,
it is a vision of Hope for the future…..and we all need that hope especially those most in need in our communities….
May the fire be in your thoughts
making them good and just
may it protect you from all harm
may the fire be in your eyes
may it open your eyes to see what is good in life
may it protect you from speaking against another.
May the fire be in your ears
we pray that you may hear with deep listening
so that you may hear the flow of water
and of all Creation and of the Dreaming.
May you be protected from gossip
and from those things that harm and break down your family. May the fire be in your arms and hands
so that you may be of service and build up love.
May the fire protect you from all violence.
May the fire be in your whole being, in your legs and feet
enabling you to walk the earth with respect and care
so that you may journey in the ways of goodness and trust
and be protected from walking away from what is true.
Come Holy Spirit. Come Fire!
Let us be the ones…
Now
more than ever
let us be the ones
who will not turn away.
Let us be the ones
who will go
farther into the wreck
and deeper into the rubble.
Let us be the ones
who will enter into the places
of devastation beyond belief
and despair beyond our imagining.
And there let us listen
for the Spirit that brooded
over the formless darkness,
and there let us look again
for the God who gathered up the chaos
and began to create.
Let us be the ones
who will give ourselves
to the work of making again
and to the endless beginning
of creation.
All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures.
You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
O God of the poor,
help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes.
Bring healing to our lives,
that we may protect the world and not prey on it,
that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction.
Touch the hearts
of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each thing,
to be filled with awe and contemplation,
to recognize that we are profoundly united
with every creature as we journey towards your infinite light.
We thank you for being with us each day.
Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle
for justice, love and peace.
Look clearly at your vision of who you really are
and you won’t be disappointed
Envision the value of each breath you take
and you won’t be poor
Visualise the wisdom of your heart, mind and soul
and you won’t be ignorant
See the reality of existence
and you will understand the divine
Believe in the value of now and the present moment
and you will be free
Experience the infinite in your life
and you will understand your mortality
Be aware of the joy and love within
and you will never be sad
Swim if you can in the ocean of understanding
and you will never drown in doubt
Feel the strength of clarity

Venture everyday with Clarity

And always remember that no act of kindness is ever wasted….send out ripples of kindness as much as you can….one act of kindness can make someone’s life shine brighter…..try to be kind always as you never know what might be going on in someone’s life…..thank you to the people who shined their light of kindness, love and strength to me when my own light had gone out…
