Claregalway U-14 Ladies travelled to Dublin on Friday evening to take part in the Kilmacud Sevens Tournament. It was an early start on Saturday morning with Group Games starting at 10am in Silverpark. Claregalway defeated Boardsmill 6-6 to 2-2,Fermoy Ladies 3-9 to 2-4 and Aherlow Ladies 4-5 to 4-1 in their group games. The Round Four knockout game was against Monaleen from Limerick and the Claregalway girls dominated this game winning 4-6 to 0-4. In the quarter Final Claregalway came up against the Dublin Feile Champions Foxrock-Cabinteely and after a great tussel it was the Dublin Champions who emerged as winners. Thanks to the Kilmacud Club, our Panel of 12 Girls, Parents, Mentors and Supporters who made the day a very enjoyable one. County U-14 Championship Final is fixed for this Saturday and Time and Venue will be posted on Club website as soon as known.

The Intermediate ladiies also travelled to Dublin on Saturday for their sevens. The Girls defeated Maynooth, Rathcline, Tír na nÓg and Cahir in the group games but were defeated by Clonbur in the semifinal by just 2 points after a close game. Thanks to all who travelled to Malahide with the Team. Senior league game on Sunday next in Clonbur at 12 noon. Minor Training on Friday evening at 7pm in Lakeview Pitch.

Claregalway ladies have received an invitation to an U15 ladies tournament to be held in Sarsfields GAA, Newbridge, Co Kildare on the 27th October.Teams invited to participate in the tournament are :Sarsfields (Kildare) Claregalway (Galway)Douglas (Cork)Kilmacud Crokes (Dublin)

U-12 Ladies: U-12 Gold play Caherlistrane in the D Championship on Sunday 14th October. Time and venue are to be confirmed. The A Championship still has games outstanding and are awaiting dates for the final to be played.

The Club’s 3rd. Fashion Show Extravaganza will be held in the Clayton Hotel on Thursday October 25th. This event is an important fund-raiser for the Club to support the on-going development works at the Knockdoemore Training Grounds. Two training pitches are now in use but there is a long way to go, including a new club centre, 1.5km amenity walk facility, etc. Music at the Show- Suite Strings, entertainment and raffles. A presentation will be made to the Sunni Mae Trust, a cause that the Fashion Show committee have chosen to support this year.
